Brashear Baseball at Canton April 13, 2021
After a week-long layoff, the Brashear baseball team was at Canton Tuesday. Neither team scored in the 1st, but things looked promising for Brashear in the top of the 2nd. Two hits, a sacrifice bunt, and a walk had the bases loaded with 1 out, but a line drive double play ended Brashear's chances of getting on the scoreboard. Canton scored a run in the 3rd, but Brashear evened the score at 1-1 in the 4th. Canton scored another run in the 6th, but Brashear put up 2 runs in the top of the 7th for the 3-2 win. Jace Snelling had a double and a pair of singles for Brashear, Brandon Jochimsen doubled, with Lane Stutsman, Garrett Housman, and Austin Peterson each having hits. Brandon Jochimsen got the start for Brashear, going 5 and 2/3 innings and striking out 8. Carson Erwin picked up the win in relief going 1 and 1/3 innings and striking out 2.
